Mokobe commentates on the actions of Rihannon, Naomi Campboule, Rachida Beckham and friends over a Coupé-Decalé riddim. The music production is pretty standard, but the video is at least funny.

It’s a mixed bag this week. Kenyan artist Ato Malinda created a video for one of the tracks of last year’s BLNRB album (music is by the Teichmann Brothers, vocals are by Alai K):
Last week we brought you the serious side of Burkina rapper Mokobe. In this hilarious video he makes proper use of a beat made famous by 50 Cent:
K.ommando Toxik’s output has been prolific this year. See for example their Persona Non Grata or their appearance in the all-star videos Le Clip Kongolais and Bana Congo RD. “Afrika Star” is another single from their latest album. Shot in ‘les 2 Congos’ (Kinshasa and Brazzaville), it also features Mokobé and M’Passi.–Tom Devriendt.
Today marks 50 years of independence for Mali. We’ll leave it to Mokobé to properly mark the occasion. Be warned, it does involve some auto-tune.
