Continuing in our theme of sports on the African continent, this month Africa Is a Country Radio takes you to “Fight Club,” exploring African combat sports and martial arts. We make stops in Accra, Ghana, one of the boxing capitals of the world, and then explore the continents’ most professionalized traditional martial art, Senegalese wrestling. We wrap up with a visit to Brazil to soak in the sounds of Capoeira, a martial art with roots in Angola that embodies so much about Black Atlantic identity.

Our guest, who will explain Senegalese wresting for us, is Sogui Diouf, an actor and DJ from Dakar.
