After my praise of Bono earlier today, you must be wondering: No I am not lightheaded.  It’s the World Cup stupid.

Clever commercial by Nike. Probably the best of the 2010 bunch I’ve seen thus far. And it is primarily about football.

Great concept.  Got the best footballers involved. (Only false note: Ronaldinho is not in Brazil’s preliminary squad, so as it stands, he won’t be in South Africa.) But other than that, all the great players are represented, including an ageing Fabio Canavaro.  I love the send-up of Italian and English national cultures. I know we’re talking stereotypes here.  But you have to admit it is brilliant.
