Music Break. Jolly Boys

These guys remind me of Sunday afternoons at my great aunt’s house in Parkwood.

This is from last year. Jamaica’s Jolly Boys gives Amy Winehouse’s “Rehab” the mento treatment.  Here‘s a recent interview with them in New York City by Large Up TV.

Hi, I don’t speak Afrikaans and I’d like to know the actual meaning of “kiem”, and the context where it would be used. I know it means “germ”. I want to refer not to an ugly bacteria, but the idea similar to a plant that grows to get stronger and bigger.

I’m sorry that I used this blog, but I couldn’t find a more appropriate place. Any guidance would be appreciate. Do know that I will use it by itself, not with a context, to use it as an alias, so I thought this word that some nice musicality to it too. I hope I have been able to explain myself.

Not like these guys look like they ever needed rehab and I love the fashion sense of the lead singer.
