This is a big thing within South Africa, as well. In my old neighborhood, we had “Lighting for Africa,” “Sunglasses for Africa,” “Heating for Africa” and some others that I’m forgetting.
I’m going out on a limb–what is it with the “developed”, consumer-driven but socially-conscious global North and Africa? Let’s help by sending little bits of money as we simultaneously buy what we want anyway.
