Two questions & a rant: Why is this child tethered? Who imagined it was a good idea to use a woman who clearly starves herself as an aesthetic choice as an appropriate ambassador for those who have no choice over their hunger. I appreciate the money and publicity Ms. Jolie brings to the issue. However (this is the rant) the most disturbing thing is the focus on the starving child when what I see are two dangerously undernourished people. I am saddened by the unnecessary conflicts which have resulted in Westerns dying to be thin and Africans who are dying from being too thin.
Angelina Jolie needs to be slim because she also needs a job and its her job to look fabulous.. This time though she has overdone it by mistake perhaps and looks undernourished in recent photos..I am sure she will set it right.. Nevertheless she is the best choice as UN ambassador because I don’t think any celebrity has gone to the extent that she has for bringing global attention to the plight of these Africans dying of hunger..
do u know y angelina jolie is so thin? she believes in the world there are ppl starving and we and her have so much luxury of food….when restaraunts or fast food places have left overs do you know they throw it away??!! ms. jolie doesnt starve herself but she doesnt gorge in food and glorify it. she does it but enough for her to be healthy. its her own personal choice a statement she is making as to say i feel your pain. i come from a life a country where we have everything ppl throw away food and a drop of fresh water is scarce. i eat to live not live to eat.
oh yes, I forgot America is the land where death from starvation is number one cause. Oh wait, no thats OBESITY – top causes of death in America all linked to OBESITY (ie: CVD, Diabetes, etc).. what was I thinking.
I really appreciate the deep concern of Ms Jolie and Mr Pitt towards this grave problem.
I have been in Africa for a considerable period and have seen the plight of children and women there.Our en-devours to share their sorrows has got its limitations and we will have to accept it. Efforts of world community will be like drops in the ocean unless the governments of the respective African countries show their own concern to solve their issue.There is no dirth of natural resources with them . What they lack is vision,proper planning and to see their problems from a humanitarian point of view.May the Almighty give them enough wisdom to give respect to the humanity.

This little boy stays on my mind all the time. I need to know if she helped him, or if he and other children are tied like this. I want him (seriously). I would go and get him and others like him if I knew where this was, and how to go about it. PLEASE Angelina, or somebody, get ahold of me!!!!! I have to know about this little boy! <3
