I am intrigued by your comment about the point of view of the airplane. It makes me realise the airplane is a useful device drawing us into the colonial act of identifying, measuring, mastering and consuming all that Hatton Finch/Redford surveys in Africa&#039;s savannah and bush. Same thing with the hunting. 

One other interesting thing, for me, is the renactment of early 20 century Nairobi. But I do not recall much - in fact I recall more from Karen&#039;s book than the film. It would have been good to have the bonus of your analysis of US/UK reaction to film, which was very popular in 1980&#039;s. Sometimes the audience/audience response is more interesting than the film.]]></description>
