While its freezing in New York City (including a snow storm last week that shut down the city) and my time is taken up by job talks and teaching, my friends in Cape Town talk about going to the beach.

I just got back stateside from Cape Town where I had one of the best summers of my life – completely breathtaking.
To fight off the now ensuing seasonal depression, I think about when June rolls around and the winds and rain start in the cape. I won’t miss that one bit
